Initial setup

  • sudo aptitude update
  • sudo aptitude install ksmserver kicker

Adding Repositories

  • Instructions at Absolute Beginners Guide
  • Downloaded immpmyeee-1.0.2.sh
  • chmoded to 755
  • Ran and entered the menu option "r" for "(R) Enable extra repos ..."
  • Caused changes to /etc/apt/sources.list and added /etc/apt/preferences

Added Software

  • sudo aptitude install emacs
